▷ Year: 2020
▷ Location: London, UK
▷ Client: 77 Coleman Street
▷ Architect: Buckley, Grey & Yeoman Architects
This project involved the refurbishment of the building at 77 Coleman Street, London, including the introduction of two new stories for the creation of new open plan office spaces, as well as retail units at the ground floor. The office spaces have been designed to BCO Category B standard, targeting BREEAM credits for indoor ambient noise levels and reduction of noise pollution.
A thorough review of the proposed floor constructions and details has been carried out in order to ensure that sound insulation criteria between office floors were met.
Optimum internal ambient noise levels have been achieved by combining contributions from external noise ingress and noise from air conditioning units.
Mitigation measures have been specified to minimise impact from the newly proposed items of plant to the closest noise sensitive amenities.
