We were appointed by The American School of London to carry out a Noise Impact Assessment for the replacement of the chiller units located on the south side of the main building rooftop.

A long-term background noise survey has been undertaken at two fixed monitoring locations to measure the ambient noise levels at a position equivalent to the nearest noise sensitive properties.

Recommendations have been provided to meet London Borough of Westminster’s noise criteria at the closest sensitive receptor, as well as to internal noise control and vibration transmission to the school building. An acoustic planning report presenting survey results and plant impact assessment was issued for submission to the Local Authority.

Gillieron Scott Acoustic Design have worked on many projects at the American School of London including the new Pool and Fitness Centre, the new Art Centre, the Theatre, the Music Rooms, the Commons (canteen of the school) and many noise impact assessments for planning.
