The Bush Theatre

▷ Year: 2017
▷ Location: London, UK
▷ Client: The Bush Theatre
▷ Architect: Haworth Tompkins Architects

An incredibly important producing theatre in the history of London, the Bush Theatre was refurbished opening in 2017 providing a highly flexible auditorium, two new rehearsal studios, offices and upgraded community spaces.
Being in a residential area with rail and road traffic in close proximity, sound insulation was critical. Room acoustics were achieved with materials coherent with the existing fabric of the building.
An extension to the west, an external raised garden and new ventilation plant were also added during the project.
