We are involved in the acoustic design of the refurbishment at the Museum of Childhood located in Bethnal Green, London which originally opened in 1857.
The key challenge is dealing with the high reverberation time in the main hall despite the constraints on the location and form of treatment from existing structure and heritage. Several auralisations have been carried out to demonstrate the options to the key stakeholders.
We were also responsible for the control of mechanical services noise, room acoustics and sound insulation between the lower ground floor spaces.
